UNITED STATES 2024

The Underrated Golf Tour is comprised of four regional events and a season-ending championship tournament - The Curry Cup. Each regional event consists of a one-day qualifier and A two-day regional tournament. Players in each regional tournament earn points towards the Curry Cup standings. The winners of the regional tournaments qualify for the Curry Cup alongside the remaining top 8 boys and top 8 girls in the standings.

THE Format

  • 2 Day – 36 Hole Stroke Play

  • Gross Score (No Handicaps)

    • Receive Underrated Golf Regional Trophy

    • Automatic entry into Curry Cup Tour Championship

    • AGJA Performance Based Entry Stars:

      • 8 stars for each winning boy and girl

      • 4 stars for each boy and girl who finish in the Top 2-3

      • 1 star for each boy and girl who finish in the Top 4-5

  • Entries selected by our Underrated Golf Tour Committee based off of:

    • Handicap

    • Avg Tournament Score

    • National Ranking

    Underrated Golf will cover all travel accommodations for the participant + 1 legal parent / guardian

    • 12-18 Yr Old (Compete for one trophy)

    • 2 Tee Boxes

      • 12-14 Approx 6,500 yards

      • 15-18 Approx 6,900 yards

    • 12-18 Yr Old (Compete for one trophy)

    • 2 Tee Boxes

      • 12-14 Approx 5,800 yards

      • 15-18 Approx 6,200 yards

Curry Cup Point System

  • Points are awarded to each player based off their finish in the regional tournament: 1st – 50th.

  • Points are accumulated over the 4 Regional Tournaments to combine for the Curry Cup Season Standings.

  • The Top 12 Boys and Top 12 Girls at the end of the 4 Regional Events will qualify for the Curry Cup Tour Championship at the end of the year.

    **If a Local Qualifier wins a 2 Day Regional Tournament they automatically punch their ticket to the Curry Cup

  • 18 Hole Stroke Play

    Boys Division

    • 12 Entries

    • 12-18 Yr Old (Compete for one trophy)

    • 2 Tee Boxes

      • 12-14 Approx 6,500 yards

      • 15-18 Approx 6,900 yards

    Girls Division

    • 12 Entires

    • 12-18 Yr Old (Compete for one trophy)

    • 2 Tee Boxes

      • 12-14 Approx 5,800 yards

      • 15-18 Approx 6,200 yards

  • Online Registration to enter into pool to be selected to compete in the local qualifier by committee based off:

    • Selection Process for Local Qualifiers

      • Handicap

      • Avg Tournament Score

      • GHIN #

      • National Ranking

  • Top Finishers will enter into the 2 Day Underrated Regional Tournament (will vary for each tournament based on openings)

    • Opportunity to win the tournament and qualify for the Curry Cup automatically that season

    • Opportunity to earn an Underrated Golf Tour

    • Membership for the following year by finishing Top 5

    • Opportunity to enter into next Underrated Golf

    • Regional Tournament by finishing Top 3

    • Top 12 (and ties) in Curry Cup Standings

    • Winner of Underrated Golf European

    • Tournament in London, England

    Girls Division – 13 Players

    • Top 12 (and ties) in Curry Cup Standings

    • Winner of Underrated Golf European

    • Tournament in London, England

    Starting Position

    • Will be staggered based off of Curry Cup Standings

  • Receive:

    • AJGA Full Exemption Status for following season

    • Exemptions into top junior golf events

    • Callaway Next Sponsorship

    • Curry Cup Trophy

    • AJGA Performance Based Entry Stars:

      • 12 stars for each boy and girl who finish in the Top 2-4

      • 8 stars for each boy and girl who finish in the Top 5-8

      • 4 stars for each boy and girl who finish in the Top 9-12/(16)
